Jeff, as you know I have been visiting my relatives up in Ketchikan for over
45 years. We have experienced the beauty of Alaska and made many friends along
the way including you and your father (I would have made more but they tore down
the Marine Bar). I can tell you this. You and your family have provided one of
the finest Lodging and Fishing destinations around!!
Everything you have done is first class. Any group coming to visit, whether it
is old timers like me or new travelers will be overwhelmed by the turn key
operation you have. I mean, where can you go and within 3 hours from Seattle,
sit in a 20' Northriver boat that same day and yell (and I am good at that) fish
on!!!
Just for the record, this is how the fish count went---In 9 days, we caught 143
Silvers. The largest was 17.8lbs. The average was about 9lbs, 36 were over
12lbs. In all 6 people took home over 350lbs of my "BIG JOHNSON/KETCHIKAN KID"
expertly filleted fish. That does not include the fish we had on the BBQ.

The HWP group has fished Canada & Alaska for 15 years and have
been here 3 times in the last two years – they’ll be back in 2008. They broke
their previous 4 day catch record in 3 days with fewer people at Chinook Shores
in Ketchikan Alaska.
This picture is truly worth a thousand words. This was Mindy’s
first fish of the morning fishing at Chinook Shores and she never looked back.
She went on to catch more Kings, silvers & halibut, which got her into some good
prize Money.
